John is co-Founder, Executive Director, and Director of Education for FuseBox Theatre. He currently directs the FuseBox Ensemble in improvisation and is a Development Consultant for the Richmond Comedy Coalition.
John has trained and performed at Chicago’s Annoyance Theater and Second City, and with members of the Upright Citizen’s Brigade, iO, and Dad’s Garage. John is also a co-founder of Improv Nashville, where he served as Director of Development, instructor, and performer in the Mainstage cast before leaving to form FuseBox Theatre.
John has a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and a B.S. in Physics from Rhodes College. You can call him Dr. Sexton if you really want to inflate his ego.
