The FuseBox Ensemble

Daniel Bissell

Daniel Bissell is a local actor and singer with a passion for all forms of artistic expression. He is currently playing the character “Chuck Slade” for CMT and the CMAs.

Daniel has trained in improvisation with Improv Nashville and performed as a member of Improv Nashville’s Troupe93 cast before joining the FuseBox Ensemble. Daniel has written, directed and edited two films shown in the Nashville Independant Film Festival, taught cartooning classes, and has been actively involved in creating sketch video material with Hipfarm Productions.

Currently his pet project is the Hungry Bumblebees, a ukulele cover band which recreates famous tunes from the early nineties. Recent hits include their rendition of The Last Unicorn, and Tonight You Belong to Me from Steve Martin’s The Jerk, the finest film of our time.

Mandy Butler

Mandy Butler is co-Founder, Artistic Director and Youth Program Director for FuseBox Theatre. She has been acting since the age of eleven.  Some of her favorite roles include Laura in The Glass Menagerie, Emily in Our Town, and Kate in The Taming of the Shrew.  She recently played the role of Jen in Groundworks Theatre’s production of Sunday on the Rocks.

In addition to her experience in scripted theatre, Mandy has also studied and performed improv at Chicago’s Annoyance Theatre, Atlanta’s Whole World Theatre, and Improv Nashville. Mandy teaches FuseBox Theatre’s improv classes for Teens and Youth.

She holds a BA in Theatre Performance from Georgia College & State University.

Ian Jameson

Ian Jameson is a local actor who began his on stage career in 2002 at The Roxy in Clarksville, TN. He has also played in TPAC’s Jackson Hall as part of Inherit the Wind.

Ian has trained and performed with Improv Nashville’s Troupe93 before joining the FuseBox Ensemble. He has also played a variety of characters in various Watkins Film School short films as well as appearing in several music videos, commercials & industrial videos.

Matthew Milo

Matthew Milo is Director of Sketch Comedy for FuseBox Theatre.

Matthew has trained in improvisation with Groundlings in Los Angeles and Improv Nashville, and performed as a member of Improv Nashville’s Mainstage cast before joining the FuseBox Ensemble. Matthew has written, directed, and produced many sketch comedy revues for the Kentucky-based sketch comedy team The Space Monkeys.

Matthew is committed to nurturing the growing comedy scene in Nashville.

John Sexton

John is co-Founder, Executive Director, and Director of Education for FuseBox Theatre. He currently directs the FuseBox Ensemble and the Purple Room in improvisation.

John has trained and performed at Chicago’s Annoyance Theater and Second City, and with members of the Upright Citizen’s Brigade, iO, and Dad’s Garage. John is also a co-founder of Improv Nashville, where he served as Director of Development, instructor, and performer in the Mainstage cast before leaving to form FuseBox Theatre.

John has a B.S. in Physics from Rhodes College and a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University. He is working on his PhD and desperately needs comedy in his life.

David Vaughan

David Vaughan is the Music Director and Media Producer for FuseBox Theatre. David has served the Nashville music and television/film industry for over four years as a performing musician and television writer and producer. As a musician, David has played drums on tour and in the studio with Grammy nominated and major label artists, as well as written and composed a number of songs. His television credits include Nashville Star, CMT’s 100 Greatest Duets, Martina McBride: Timeless (CMT), CMA Music Festival on ABC, and a number of short form series on GAC.

David has trained in improvisation with Improv Nashville and performed as a member of Improv Nashville’s Troupe93 performance cast before joining the FuseBox Ensemble.

He hopes to help establish Music City as one of the nation’s driving forces in improv and sketch comedy.

Chris Maloney

Chris Maloney

Chris began his acting career in Jacksonville FL with improv theatre and commercial acting . He performed in hundreds of shows, both public and corporate, as either an improv player or host. Chris relocated to Chicago to receive improv training at Second City, Annoyance, and ComedySportz. While in Chicago, Chris booked numerous roles as an MC or narrator at events across the nation for clients such as Centennial Wireless, Ford Motors, and Dell.

Chris has relocated to his hometown of Nashville TN where he is proud to be the host for Fusebox Theatre.

The Purple Room

Jemmie Godwin

Jemmie is Outreach Director for FuseBox Theatre. She grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee and is now a Highschool Teacher for Nashville’s Metro Schools. She is also a commissioned playwright and one of only a few Drama Therapists in Nashville.

She studied improv at Hiwassee College, University of Chattanooga, Kansas State University and Improv Nashville before joining FuseBox Theatre’s Purple Room cast.

Jemmie has directed a traveling children’s improv show and has been singing and acting for nineteen years. Her over 50 shows include runs with the Atlanta Shakespeare Company, Barrier Free Theatre. She specializes in corporate training and conflict resolution, theatre for social change, and working with children, especially those with special needs.

Tom Seyfried

Tom grew up in Richmond, Virginia before moving to Nashville in 1999. He owns his own auto brokerage, Genesis Auto Brokers, and has travelled over ten thousand miles on freight trains.

Tom has trained improvisation with Improv Nashville and FuseBox Theatre’s Purple Room. He has also written and directed for five 48 hour film compeitions.

He is newly married and enjoys snorkeling.

Milt Skelton

Milt was born in Macon Georgia and grew up in Florida. By day he works at the EXPO design center. By night, he improvises, sings, and plays guitar and harmonica. He has been known to do up to three of these simultaneously.

Milt has trained extensively at Chicago’s Second City, the Piven Theatre, Improv Nashville and FuseBox Theatre. He has also performed with and written music for the First Coast Children’s Theatre in Jacksonville, Florida.

Milt has as BFA in Theatre from Jacksonville University.

Ron Veasey

Ron is Secretary and Treasurer of FuseBox Theatre. Ron is an army brat that grew up all over the world and has been in Nashville since 2000. He has been in the automotive business since 1989. Before that, he was in the US Army as an Airborne Instructor and in the 82nd Airborne Division.

Ron has studied improvisation with Improv Nashville and FuseBox Theatre’s Purple Room. He has produced a directed several short films, including an entry in the 48 hour film festival which won “Best Romance Film.”

Ron is newly married, sings karaoke a few times a week and is learning to play the guitar.

Extended Family

Hyphen D

Hyphen D is Video Director for FuseBox Theatre. He also owns Hipfarm Productions, a local creative firm specializing in the 3-minute viral video format and music video production.

In 2007, collaborations between Hyphen D and members of the FuseBox Ensemble produced videos (notably the PeePee Pals series) totaling over one million hits on YouTube and MySpace. Now boasting nearly 50 directed sketches and several music videos, Hyphen D is graciously lending his production talents to FuseBox Theatre.

While “D” has studied improv for three years in Michigan, and for one year with Improv Nashville and FuseBox Theatre, but he prefers to stay behind the camera to capture our buffoonery. He has an MBA and likes to leave it on his mantle, where it belongs, while he has fun with us.

Mark Jarsen

Mark is Art Director and Photographer for FuseBox Theatre. He grew up in Michigan and has been in the production and advertising business for ten years. Currently he works as a photographer and video/film producer at a local agency.

Mark has about a year’s worth of improv experience, and currently active in Nashville’s tap dancing community. He is often seen at the Ryman Auditorium, neither performing nor scalping tickets outside.

FuseBox Theatre Alumni

Larry Atamanuik

Larry grew up in Toronto, Ontario and came stateside in the 70’s. Since then, he has lived and worked as a musician in Boston and Nashville.

Larry became interested in improv through his son, Anthony Atamanuik, who teaches and performs with the Upright Citizen’s Brigade in New York. Larry considers improv an exciting new playground and embodies that spirit on stage.

A man of many talents, Larry also plays golf, paints and draws. Uncorroborated rumor has it he can also read and watch movies.

Molly Malone

Molly grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and lived in Los Angeles before moving to Nashville in 2007. She is currently a freelance actress and piano teacher.

Molly has trained extensively in acting in LA, and her improv training includes classes with Ft. Worth’s Four Day Weekend and Improv Nashville before joining FuseBox Theatre’s Purple Room.

Molly has recently developed an interest in writing and perform sketch comedy and finding employment.
