Improv Classes in Richmond, Virginia from FuseBox and the Richmond Comedy Coalition

High quality improv classes are finally coming to Richmond, Virginia! Register now over at the Richmond Comedy Coalition.

FuseBox Theatre and the Richmond Comedy Coalition are teaming up to turn River City into a proper improv town – but we can’t do it alone. In order to really grow our community, we need others to get involved as well.

Longform Improv Classes

We’re very excited to help sharpen the skills of experienced improvisers in town. Hopefully in the process, we can begin to craft an unique style of improvisation that really sets Richmond apart from other developing improv communities. The Longform Improvisation class will be taught by RCC veteran Matt Newman, and is sure to be a great for improvisers of all experience levels.

Introduction to Improv Classes

We may be even more excited about introducing the joy of improvisation to a whole new group of people. The Intro to Improv class will be taught by FuseBox’s own Mandy Butler, and is going to be a wonderfully fun, positive and supportive environment for anyone who is curious about improv but hasn’t tried it until now.

It’s great to see another flourishing improv community! This is a great sign of the growing improv community around the US and else where. http://www.jesterzimprov.com – is working on doing think in the Phoenix area! You all should head out for the phoenix improv festival!

Thanks, Preston. We are excited to see thriving communities all over the country as well. It can be difficult to set up a lasting improv community, but I have spent most of my professional improv career trying to do just that in various cities.

What kinds of things do you guys do in Phoenix?

When is the Phoenix improv festival? We would love to attend!
