Free Play: Improv Jam

Free Play:  FuseBox Theatre’s Improv Jam

There are a lot of improvisers out there.  There are even more people who would like to try improv but, for one reason or another, have yet to take the plunge. Free Play is designed to help everyone, from the experienced improviser to the absolute novice, get together and enjoy the art of improvisation.  Anyone can come and watch, and anyone can come and play.  It’s completely free. And if that isn’t enough, here’s something else that makes Free Play even more special: we call it “Play it Forward.”

Play It Forward: Improv for Charity

Not only does FuseBox Theatre want to open up the world of improv to as many people as possible, we also want to give back to the community we entertain. So each week, Free Play will sponsor a different local charity.  Our audience members, players, and guests will be encouraged to bring canned goods, warm clothing, teddy bears, or whatever else our charity of the week needs most. You can drop your donation off at the show, and we’ll see it delivered to those in need.  Meanwhile, you’ll get to laugh, play, and feel great inside.

Free Play & Play It Forward: Everyone Wins

EVERY MONDAY at 9pm Bongo After Hours Theatre (except for Labor Day)

A big thank you to Bongo Java and the Bongo After Hours Theatre for donating the space and time for Free Play!

Well,..Hello.
I am interested in joining an improv group in Richmond, Va or around there. I’m spunky, witty, have bartended for 8 years and was always good for a good laugh and getting a crowd to join the fun, was my calling card.

Hi Jennifer,

We are not currently planning on holding auditions, but you might think about taking some classes with the Richmond Comedy Coalition. You can read about those right here: http://www.rvacomedy.com/classes
